What is music publishing?
Music publishing is the management of the copyrights of musical compositions. It involves collecting royalties for the use of your songs, including public performance, mechanical, and synchronization rights.
How does DistroVibe handle my publishing?
We act as your publishing administrator via our BMG partnership. Through this global network, we register your works globally and collect the royalties you've earned from digital stores, radio, TV, and live performances.
What is an IPI number?
An IPI (Interested Parties Information) number is a unique 9 or 11-digit number assigned to songwriters and publishers by a PRO (like BMI or ASCAP) to identify them globally.
Can I use my existing BMI account?
Yes! If you already have a BMI IPI number, you can simply provide it in your dashboard, and we will sync your distribution with your existing publishing profile.
