This YouTube Content ID & Monetization Agreement is a legally binding addendum to the DistroVibe Digital Music Distribution Agreement. It governs the management and monetization of your music within the YouTube ecosystem.
Binding Acceptance
By activating YouTube Monetization on any release via the DistroVibe dashboard, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to the strict rules, technical requirements, and financial penalties outlined herein.
1. The Content ID Digital Fingerprinting Engine
YouTube's Content ID is an automated digital identification system that allows copyright owners to identify and manage their content on YouTube. DistroVibe, through our secure global infrastructure, maintains a high-level database of audio fingerprints to capture and redirect revenue to your wallet.
Every video uploaded to YouTube is scanned against our database for matching audio material.
Revenue from ads on matched videos is automatically captured and credited to the rightful owner.
2. Strict Eligibility Requirements
YouTube enforces uncompromising standards for Content ID. To maintain platform integrity, your music must meet the following criteria before it can be submitted to the identification database:
100% Exclusive Ownership
You must own and control 100% of both the Sound Recording (Master) and the Underlying Composition (Publishing). Co-owned material requires written, exclusive authorization from all parties before submission.
Asset-Level Uniqueness
The recording must be technically unique and not contain generic, royalty-free, or common-domain elements that would trigger false positive matches on other creators' content.
3. Prohibited Content (Ineligible for Monetization)
The following categories of content are strictly prohibited from the Content ID database. Submitting these will result in immediate termination:
Non-Exclusive / Leased Beats
If another artist can lease the same instrumental, it is ineligible.
Generic Loops & Samples
Material built from Splice, Apple Loops, or standard DAW packs.
Public Domain Material
Classical music (pre-1925), speeches, or public recordings.
Licensed Covers
You do not own the publishing composition; therefore, you cannot claim it.
Ambient & Nature Sounds
White noise, nature recordings, or generic environmental SFX.
Soundalikes & Remakes
Karaoke tracks, type beats, or tracks mimicking originals.
4. Grant of Exclusive Rights
By activating this service, you grant DistroVibe and its technical partners the exclusive YouTube Channel Admin Services and exclusive digital identification rights for the audio assets on the YouTube platform.
Concurrent Third-Party Administration is strictly prohibited
5. Financial Penalties & Platform Abuse
Zero Tolerance for Abuse
Fraudulent claims against innocent creators or the submission of ineligible content damages the ecosystem. DistroVibe reserves the right to rucue the following penalties:
Administrative Fine
A penalty of up to €100.00 (EUR) per fraudulent track submission.
Revenue Seizure
Immediate forfeiture of all unclaimed and future royalties across the platform.
Global Blacklist
Permanent termination of global distribution services and exclusion from our infrastructure.
6. Claims & Channel Allowlisting
If you see a "Copyright Claim" from DistroVibe on your own video, it confirms that the monetization engine is active. Your revenue is being collected and will be paid out via your wallet.
Allowlisting Protocol
To remove claims from your own channel, submit your YouTube Channel ID to DistroVibe support. Allowlisting prevents future claims on that specific channel while maintaining the fingerprint in the global database.
7. Legal Indemnity
The User agrees to fully indemnify and hold harmless DistroVibe and its technical infrastructure partners against all third-party claims arising from unauthorized Content ID submissions. This includes financial penalties, legal expenses, and compensatory damages.
