We were the artists first.

In 2022, three friends — Aziz, Umut and Can — were releasing their own music under a small independent label, distributed to streaming platforms the same way any other independent act was: through third-party distributors. The catalog was modest, somewhere around 30 songs.

The label grew from the three of them to a roster of ten artists, and over the next while the group put out a steady run of singles and music videos. But every release still went through someone else's pipeline, on someone else's timeline.

Aziz had spent years working as a software engineer, including time at Türkcell, and had already founded and run a few other companies before this one. Instead of continuing to rely on third parties, he set out to build the infrastructure directly — securing direct delivery relationships with Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and the rest of the major platforms, and turning the label into what is now DistroVibe.

The team today runs fully distributed, the same way it always has: Aziz and Alp in Turkey, Umut in Austria, Can in Germany. No office, just people who spent years releasing music the hard way before they built a better way to do it.
